Bipolar Bare: A Memoir of My Life’s Journey with Mental Disorder
by Carlton Davis
The book chronicles my life’s struggle with bipolar one disorder, which I wasn’t diagnosed with until I was 55 years old. The illness plagued me since I was a young man, where I had sequential periods of depression and high energy. I attempted suicide once, and thought about it a lot. With the help of two women, my wife, Virginia Tanzmann, and the psychiatrist, Nicole Poliquin, I was able to get the help I needed. The book led me to speaking around the country on the issue of mental health.
